Claus for Crying!

Carrington would rather her presents stay at the North Pole than sit on Santa's lap and tell him what she wants.

But...Momma couldn't live without Carrington not getting presents so she sat with her on Santa's lap and saved the day. Carrington was able to tell Santa all the wonderful things she wanted for Christmas.

Merry Christmas to everyone, hope all of your holiday wishes come true.

Here Comes Santa Claus!

Last night was a chilly evening in Wilmington. It was perfect for a Christmas parade! We were able to see the parade from inside my office which worked out great. Our friends Dave and Melissa and their kids Ben and Maaike met us for the festivities. The kids loved looking out the window at all the floats, lights and people passing by. The look of wonder on their faces makes this season so special!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Christmas season is here! We spent the weekend decorating the house. taking Christmas card pictures and ordering them, and getting a start on holiday shopping. It was a wonderful weekend!

With that said, it's not all about the shiny lights, pretty pictures and beautifully wrapped presents under the tree. We wouldn't have Christmas, if we didn't have a Savior, Jesus Christ! Enjoy the SEASON and remember the REASON!!

"Sounds Like Life To Me"

What a night... and for Carrington, what a week! Yesterday I got a frantic call from Ms. Peggy to come home because Carrington fell into the coffee table. You can only imagine the ride home; I was thinking the worst! She ended up with a black and blue goose egg on her eye brow. Well, tonight she was in the bath, having a good ol' time standing up, giving me kisses, and the next thing I know...she goes down and smacks her chin on the side of the tub. Immediately she starts screaming. I picked her up, soaking wet, from the bath and think, ok, there isn't any blood, yet...and then it starts pouring out of her mouth. She refuses to let me look in her mouth so all I can think is she's going to spit a piece of her tongue out at any moment. I'm still not sure where the exact bleeding came from but she is ok! Oh, but it doesn't end there. Right about the time she is finishing her bottle, she looks at me and vomits all over my shirt. I put her bottle on the floor to clean up the mess and end up knocking over my bottle of beer, on her fairly new carpet. Yes, I needed a beer after the bath tub drama!!! How does that song go..."It sounds like life to me".

Savvy Shopping at the Harris Teeter

For those of you that don't know, I started couponing in late July. I've spent a lot of time learning, printing/clipping coupons and shopping the best deals around town. At times, I think I'm a little obsessed; especially when I stay up until midnight printing hundreds of coupons, many of which I never use. I've been on quite the ride trying to find rock bottom prices and then pairing it with a coupon in order to pay little to nothing for food and toiletries. Last week, I hit the big time during triple coupons at Harris Teeter!!! I've been waiting six weeks since the last big coupon promotion at Harris Teeter so when the day came for triples to start, you better believe I had my coupons ready!!! I made three separate trips because you can only use 20 coupons per day. I got the following for $40!!!

1 lb Bag Harris Teeter Sugar, 1 Bag Wacky Mac Pasta, 1 Box of Mueller's Pasta, 2 Jars Duke's Mayo, 2 Cans Carnation Milk, 2 Bottles Life Water, 4 Packs Tuna, 1 Fresh Dole Pineapple, 1 Can Dole Pineapple, 2 Cans Baking Powder, 2 Packs Self Rising Yeast, 2 Packs of Dole Fruit with Jello, 2 Packs Taco Mix, 1 Can Rotel, 2 Sauve Deodorants, 1 Jar Dill Relish, 1 Bottle of Heinz Ketchup, 2 Boxes Cereal, 1 Bag of NoYolk Noodles, 1 Bag Frozen Rolls, 1 Bag Frozen Potatoes, 1 Bottle of Mustard, 1 Bottle Spray Butter, 2 Tubs of Butter, 6 Pack Yogurt, 4 Pack Batteries, 1 Box Tissues, 3 Bottles Hot Sauce, 2 Boxes Pampers Wipes, 2 Bags Croutons, 1 Can French's Onions, 1 Bottle Worcester Sauce, 2 Packages Muffin Mix, 4 Pack Toilet Paper, 1 Roll Paper Towels, 2 Half Gallons Whole Organic Milk, 1 Bottle Dish Soap, 1 Bottle Hand Soap, 2 Bottle Kids Shampoo, 1 Can Condensed Milk, 1 Box Baby Cookies, 1 Bottle Lotion, 1 Tube Toothpaste.

I posted pictures as proof.
