Memorial Day Weekend

We spent Memorial Day Weekend at home with my parents and grandparents. Saying we spent the weekend at "home" would be inaccurate. More like, we spent Memorial Day Weekend at the BEACH. We would leave the house in the morning and not return until late in the afternoon. This went on for three days straight. If you are tired of looking at beach pictures, you need to find a new site to browse.

Melissa and the girls joined us at the beach on Sunday

Carrington got a new beach chair and wagon from her great grandparents.

Dog days of Summer!

The few minutes we were home we watched Clemson lose to VT in the ACC baseball tournament. GO HOKIES!

Riding in Style! Carrington..."why are my parents so tacky."

Face First

On Memorial Day we headed to Myrtle Beach to swim in Melissa's pool and have a happy hour style dinner. The shrimp and pinto cheese were excellent! This was also Carrington's first pool trip of the season. A baby float (which would keep her in one spot) was out of the question. Thank goodness Melissa had a pair of swimmies. And off she went...

We are the champions

A couple weeks ago Carrington had her spring gymnastics performance. It was more like a regular day of fun at gymnastics because we all know one year olds have a very short attention span. They did get a trophy and turn standing on the podium. A very special moment for each of them!
Carrington starts summer class next week. It moves to Wednesday night and she will be in class with her neighbor, Miss Hayden. The girls play together almost every afternoon so it should be a lot of fun.

Toes in the Sand...

If you couldn't find us in May it's because we took up residency at the beach. I was there several times during the week with friends, and back again on the weekend with our family. We've eaten many a lunch, dinner and even started having summer happy hour at the beach. Yes, the sun and the sand and a drink in our hand...that's the life we love living!

Her daddy thinks she is a circus act, or his show and tell, or the best variety show around.

The kids are as bad as the birds when the food comes out.
Yes, she is guarding the food.
