Virginia Tech v Clemson Football Game

What a crazy weekend in the upstate of SC! The ride up was filled with lots of noise from Hudson crying the majority of the time - crying so hard he made himself puke three times. Grayson managed to hit the 911 button on the hotel phone which sent two Greenville Police Officers to our room five minutes after we arrived, and sleeping the first night was a challenge with three small kids and two adults in one room. All of this before the big game!
Game day was a lot more fun and totally worth all the other craziness, even if the Hokies lost! Aaron's brother has an RV complete with all the comforts of home. It made the day much easier since it's where we spent the majority of our time. We did manage to take all five of us to the stadium and watch the first half live. I'm glad I saw that half in person verse the second half which just got ugly for my beloved team. Aaron was a happy man with another win for Clemson!
The kids had plenty of other kids to play with. At our tailgate we had 14 kids ranging in age from newborn to teenage. It was non-stop fun playing football, corn hole, racing cars and riding bikes. They were fueled by plenty of sugary treats and drinks. I'm not sure they ate anything nutrious that day. That's what tailgating is all about though; good food, good drinks, good friends/family, just one big good ol' time!

Aaron claimed the boys and I got the girl.
The kids were a little confused at times. Carrington wore a Hokie cheer outift with Clemson Tiger paw on her face and Hudson had a Clemson onesie with a Hokie bib.
Stroller ride before the game to try and get in a quick nap. Not successful! Looking at all the tailgaters in action was very entertaining.

Pumpkin Patch at Mike's Farm

It was good ol', down on the farm with a hayride, petting zoo, tractor ride, and country cooking. Mike's Farm had it all to make a beautiful Fall day in October a lot of fun.

 Happy Fall!

Hudson - 2 months old

Month 1-2 in Review...Lots of smiles, and coos! Hudson especially likes to talk right before bed when it's just me and him. It's finally quiet and he knows he doesn't have to share the attention with his brother or sister. So, chat away he does. I enjoy our back and forth banter and hearing him tell me all about how he is the best baby and how he loves his mom the most!
He is looking more and more like Aaron...shocker! He is just a litte cutie patootie!!
Up to this point (a short 2 months, I know) he is the best sleeper and does the best at nursing of the three. He got four shots last Friday and was so worn out that he slept 11 hours that night! I woke him at the 11 hour mark. To sleep through the night was glorious! He is more consistently sleeping 6-8 hours a night which in my book is great. He is up for a quick snack and then right back to sleep until the house gets noisy once sister and brother are awake. He is great at napping during the day too.
Hudson's only beef is the car seat. Oh boy, to say he despises the device is an understatement. He cries, and cries, and gets louder and louder with each passing minute during car rides. It's brutal on all of us!
In the last week or two I've noticed him sucking on his hand. Recently it's become a constant. If he is awake, his hand is in his mouth. And, he is starting to suck on it when he is sleeping. He never really took to the paci so I think I've got another thumb sucker on my hands.

Madison's 2nd Birthday Party

We had a great weekend celebrating with Madison. She turned 2 on September 27! The theme for her special day was Tinkerbell. Meredith did an awesome job with the decorations, food, jumpy house and fairy floss (cotton candy). Madison has enough Tink gear now to keep her happy for a year.

The trip included a few other memorable moments. On the drive there I had a car full of kids...Katy - 16, Kelly - 9, Carrington - 3, Grayson - 19 months, and Hudson - 1 month. We all survived and had a nice road trip. Katy even got in a little highway driving so I could help with Hudson. She did a great job and didn't make me nervous at all. It was our first time staying in a hotel as a family of five. It worked out really well; the kids did great sleeping, we had plenty of room in the suite, and had a pool party Sunday morning with the de Wendt's and our family. Thanks to Wendy and her family for driving down to visit and meet Hudson on Sunday morning!

Loved spending time with our family and friends!

 Make a wish.
Awesome bounce house with slide. The kids stayed on it all day.
"Can I take your order please!"
Spent his day mowing grass. MeMe went right out and bought him a "boy" one to take home and play with.

Hudson and the Beach

In late September we took a ride down to the beach for a morning of fun. It was Hudson's first time dipping his toes in the ocean. Cold water = unhappy first dip. He was much happier taking a long nap on his mom. The big kids had a good time playing together in the water and digging in the sand.

Not happy! See the wave behind Aaron? It got Hudson's butt soaked. Made for an even unhappier baby.

 Great place to relax.
