Hudson - 10 months old

Hudson turned 10 months old on June 11. I missed an update at 9 months old so I definitely want to slide one in this month. In between nine and ten months his top two front teeth came in. He looks like a snaggle tooth right now because one tooth is coming in faster than the other.
He continues to cruise all over the furniture but hasn't attempted any first steps. He walks around great if he can hold onto our fingers for balance. Climbing the stairs has become a game. He'll crawl at full speed to make it to the stairs before he's caught. Once he's there he'll crawl up a couple steps and look back with the biggest grin on his face to make sure we see him being a stinker.
Our baby looooves to eat! He shows his sister and brother up during meal time.
He does not complain about his food, just stays busy shoveling in anything and everything we put in front of him.
The volume continues to grow on his squeals and noises. That's definitely something he learned from C and G. The louder, the better! I really should have a pair of ear plugs by now. We hear 'Dada' every now and then but no other noticeable words.
He continues to be comfortable around other people and will let anyone hold him. He is very smiley and stays content for the most part.
He has spent a good amount of time at the pool in the month of June. He doesn't enjoy the float but is happy being held in the water.

Taken at his 9 month check up.
 He weighed 18.13 (20th %), height 29" (75th %)

Father's Day 2013

Father's Day Weekend was perfect! We all enjoyed celebrating Aaron and treating him to a few things he enjoys. His weekend started on Friday afternoon while playing a round of golf with his good buddy, Tom. The kids and I played and ate dinner poolside with Jen and family while they were hitting balls.

Saturday morning we made an impromptu decision to head into Atlanta and catch a Braves baseball game. The game started at 4pm which was a perfect time for our family. The kids took a good nap and were ready to experience their first professional game with dad. The kids were super excited to see the stadium, buy a new baseball cap, eat yummy food, and watch a ball game. Aaron was pretty excited about all those things too! The entire afternoon went extremely well, and we look forward to seeing another game before the season ends.

We didn't make it through the entire game. The kids got a little antsy and were hungry so we left during the bottom of the seventh, right after Carrington sang "Take me Out to the Ballgame". Of course, we missed the Braves come back to win the game but leaving early allowed us to beat the crowd that swarms in The Varsity after the game. The Varsity is a landmark diner in downtown Atlanta. They serve hamburgers, hotdogs, and a special orange drink. The dining experience and the food were both great!

Sunday morning Aaron took off for an early bike ride with Tom. When he got back the kids were waiting for him with their Father's Day gifts. Our annual Father's Day gift is the kids hand prints on canvas. This year we added Hudson's hand!! We both enjoy this gift as it's fun to look back at the handprints over the past five Father's Days.

For all the things you do...this highfives for you!

We spent the remainder of the day playing at the pool, napping and grilling out!
Happy Father's Day, Aaron! We love you!

Coastal Vacation

Our vacation wasn't intended to be a tour of our favorite coastal cities but it turned out that way. The first stop being Charleston were we met up with Aaron who was there on work. The kids and I meandered in downtown while Aaron finished his day and then went to dinner at a local restaurant we enjoy. On the way back to the car we stopped at the fire station so the kids could say hello and get a tour of the truck.

Grayson would have happily stayed in the truck and spent the night there. Firemen are great...Fire trucks are AWESOME!
I'm cute and I know it look.

After a night in Charleston we headed to the Grandparents in Ridgeland to kick off summer over the Memorial Day weekend. Much of the weekend was spent on the water in Uncle's (that's what C called him all weekend) boat. It was pure bliss being with family and putting my feet back in the water!! Aaron and I got to sneak in a date night to celebrate our 7th Wedding Anniversary too!

Riding the golf carts back to the house after a great day of boating.
Carrington being Carrington spent most of her time in the water.
Little Hudson has found his water feet too.
He's not the biggest fan of the float but will stay
in the water for hours if you hold him.
Sun, Sand, and Water can make one ready for a nap.

Nothing like a good sand pie in your mouth!
The kids!

A hard day at play makes for hungry bellies!

The kids and I stayed at the grandparents for the week while Aaron worked. We kept busy going to the Beaufort Waterfront Park one day, downtown Savannah another day, and of course swimming in Granny's pool (Well, Carrington and Baylor did. The pool was way too cold for the rest of us.)

Beaufort Waterfront Park....

I kid you not, he wore the goggles an entire day. If they weren't on his eyes they were around his neck. For nap time and bed time too.

Granny is so good. She loves spending time with
her grandkids and plays with them non-stop.

We love Baylor!
Sleeping together during vacation. It happened every night.
I was wondering if they would come back home asking to sleep in the same bed.

Let our HHI vacation begin! Our annual trip to my
favorite place on earth was Fab-U-Lous!! The kids loved being there, got to spend lots of time with their cousin, Madison, and the parents even had a little fun too. We even got to see some good friends from Wilmington.
Relaxing on his lounge chair.

Hot property!
They didn't leave each others side all weekend!

The bike trip was the only major fail during the weekend. Hudson was miserable whether in the bike seat or the bike trailer. I mean screaming and crying in fear. We went for one 10 minute ride and promptly returned the bikes to the rental company.
We love this girl! She is so good and such a sweetheart.
Arms full of two year olds.
Arms full with my baby...

Smiles up and down...

Peaceful!

The last night in HHI we went to my new favorite restaurant, Skull Creek Boathouse. It's the perfect combination of good food, beautiful location, and fun for kids and adults.

Plenty of toys to play with while you wait,
sometimes for up to 2 hours if they are slammed.
My brother-in-law and sister. They also take an annual trip to HHI for their anniversary and were celebrating their fourth.

And this concludes our HHI vacation, a first of many trips for Hudson!
