A trip to Myrtle Beach

Our first road trip since moving was rightful back to the place we love most...The BEACH!! We spent the weekend in Myrtle Beach with family and good friends, the de Windt's. Our first stop when we got into town was to see Katy looking like a beautiful princess for her junior prom. She looked just like a Christmas Barbie our grandmother gets us every year. After we saw her off to have a good time with her date and friends the rest of the family headed to Liberty for dinner and craft beer.

Friday evening we met up with the de Windts to spend the rest of the weekend in a hotel on the beach. The kids were very happy to see each other and hear that they would be having a sleepover. Carrington, Giselle, and Grayson did a great job sleeping in one room together. They went to sleep fairly easy and slept in each morning.
It was straight to the pool and beach on Saturday morning. The weather was not sunny, warm, or gorgeous. Pretty much the exact opposite at 55 degrees, cloudy and rain on the way. You think that stopped the kids from having a good time on the beach, splashing in the tide pool and even taking a dip in the ocean...not a chance!

Sunday morning started off a little slower. We waited for the temp to warm up to a balmy 60 degrees before hitting the beach. This time the obstacle was wind. Everyone got beat by the sand and toys went flying. The indoor pool provided a much warmer, more enjoyable time. While Aaron and I packed up on Sunday afternoon, the kids had fun using markers on the window.
There are few pictures of the parents and I realized as we were leaving I didn't take a picture of Hudson (reason for the random picture below, proof we was with us). We were all there, having a great time, and I can't wait to see the de Windt's again. Next time we see them their third baby will be born and along for all the fun!
The boys taking a four hour nap on the ride home. I would call that the finish to a good weekend!
